Activities of the Mysore Lancers

It is proposed to engage researchers and historians who will devote their full time to carry out research from Archives of Mysore Palace, National Archives – Delhi, Military Records in Bangalore and Jodhpur and the State Archives to elicit more information about the heroism of Mysore Lancers and the kind of Army and Police Administration they engaged in.

It is also proposed to organize a series of lecture and presentations about facts and information collected to recall the valour and courage of erstwhile Mysore Lancers. This will inspire the youth and next generation of Karnataka of the warrior legacy of Mysore Lancers.

There is an urgent need to reach the young generation to orient them with history of the sacrifices made by our forefathers for the benefit of the next generations and awaken them from the slumber of ignorance and wake up to the call of duty to build the nation. Haifa day celebrations enable the present generation youth to understand the value and duty to the nation, commitment and sacrifice enabling each one to raise to their full potential to serve the nation.
